Old Business

  1. Virtual Memberships:   As discussed at the earlier Board meeting, pathways to membership are a part of the by-laws.  As such, both by-law changes and membership pathways are being actively worked on by the Board.  Membership will be updated on this.
  2. Status of Taxes:  Treasurer is working on this.
  1. Storage Cleaning Day:  Recently it has been difficult to find time to go to the storage unit due to the personal responsibilities of Board Members who have keys to the unit. The plan is to go through the unit to determine the condition of the items in storage.  Damaged, destroyed and expired items and any trash will be removed. Remaining items will be photographed and inventoried.  Equipment loaned to Sir Guerrett (Impact Studios) needs to be moved from his trailer into the storage unit. A member suggested selling or loaning out equipment  long term to eliminate the cost of the storage unit. They felt it was easier to replace equipment down the road then replace the money spent on storage fees. There was some expressed concern about the perception of selling things off.
  2. Website revamp:  This was discussed at the Board meeting earlier in the day.  Not much taking place on the website in relation to registering for classes or becoming members and making payments.  Improvements to the Voting System would require increase in hosting bandwidth at an increased cost.  Co-Facilitator is looking into the options but it could be substantial.

New Business

  1. No new Business was listed on the agenda.  The Facilitator shared some updates from the Board Meeting earlier in the day regarding the following topics.
    1. Meeting dates for Board and Town Meetings: No conflicts for next 4 months. Board to review on a rolling basis 3 months in advance.
    2. ADT:  Copy of the contract was obtained. The contract was for 3 years and it set to expire February 2023. There is an automatic 1 year contract renewal as part of the contract. The  Facilitator will check the contract as well as contact ADT to cancel ahead of the automatic contract renewal.
    3. Events/Munches:  The Ombudsman is looking into some suggested locations for events or munches this week.  Member mentioned NEDS offering classes in Hotel Conference spaces. Other meeting attendees mention other options, Library, Community Center, VFW/American legion, College Conference Spaces.  Some locations have been looked at, unfortunately the cost and restrictions of previously looked at spaces prove to be prohibitive.
    4. Member at Large brought up looking for Members, Non-Members and those who have been trained to teach the previous 101 Class to go over the 101 class content and make suggestions on changes to best meet the organizations status.
