On accidental activism, community service, and sharing safety tips through the FetLife lens.

September 30, 2023 @ 8:00 pm October 1, 2023 @ 12:00 am EDT

Event has been canceled due to COVID concerns, we will be updating when the class is rescheduled.

Seeing both a void and an opportunity, Mister_W has gone on to helm a sounding board, Massachusetts Red Flags that, with the help of a moderation team, provides vital safety information for people seeking to navigate our fulfilling, but occasionally hazardous environment.

He explains that, and what he wishes to accomplish on this evening below.

Just over 2 years ago, the Massachusetts Red Flags group was taken over by Mister_W_ from an absentee owner, leading to several hundred additional Red Flag posts and discussions about Community Safety, Victim Statements and Red Flags.

This event is intended to be an educational open ended lecture and discussion with a Q&A period after. Mister_W_ will talk about emotional reactions, lessons learned, trials and tribulations and effects of stewarding the largest Red Flags group in the US. And the ways to hopefully have a positive impact on the safety of the community while operating within the restrictions imposed by Fetlife.

Audience feedback, questions and comments are welcome and expected, both during the event and privately afterwards.

These events are set up to serve two separate purposes. The first of these is educational. The second is social.

These evenings will allow people, during the second half, to meet others in a causal non-play atmosphere, not unlike a munch or pub night minus the need to obscure the nature of the group from curious onlookers.

We hope that you will be able to join us in this our inaugural event.

Thank you

The Society encourages everyone to be vaccinated and up to date with their boosters. As these are educational forums, each presenter will have a different comfort level with attendees vaccination status, and we will defer to their comfort level.

This event does not require proof of vaccination, however future events may require that you be able to prove you are vaccinated and up to date with your boosters. Please be safe.

For anyone seeking to be current with Covid vaccination as defined by the CDC and in need of a vaccination location you can visit https://www.vaccines.gov/. We are including this information to assist our attendees in locating vaccination sites in preparation for our events that will require attendees to be fully vaccinated.
