Negotiations for Play
Presented by @DaSade
May 8, 2021 @ 8:00 pm – 9:30 pm EDT
Negotiations are the beginnings of a play relationship. It is the process where the participants of the scene discuss what will and will not be acceptable within the scene.
The newer the participants are to each other, the more important negotiations are, however they never truly end. I have been with my partners for decades and we still have a sit down before we play.
In this class we will be discussing Pre-Negotiations, the Overview of interests, the Scene Details, Limitations for the Scene, Health factors, Safety, and the transition from talking about the scene to getting to the good bits. We will be discussing both online and in person negotiations and how they differ, and how to adapt the different parts to the different settings.
I have taught Negotiations many times and in a variety of settings. Each time there are new things added and perspectives that are explored. This time, I am limiting the class to “play” and adding the component for post pandemic additions to the discussions.
I look forward to seeing you there.
