M/s Challenge: Building a Values-Based Power Exchange

It’s no secret that power exchange dynamics can be difficult to build and maintain. The secret often seems to be “why?” What is it that those in successful dynamics have figured out? Often it comes down to building a solid foundation based on your personal values, rather than the contract you found on Google or what sounded sexy when you wrote it up. In this class, attendees will have the opportunity to hear both the Master/Dominant and the slave/submissive perspectives on building and adopting a values-based power exchange dynamic. Beast (he/him) and echo (she/her) will discuss the tools and tricks they used to create a strong and sustainable dynamic, as well as many of the ways they found that did not work for them. This class is an interactive discussion, and attendees need not be in any specific dynamic or in any relationship at all to attend and enjoy the class.

About our presenters: A gentleman and a beast, Beast (He/Him) is a pansexual, polyamorous Leatherman, a Master, Biker, Bodybuilder, Cigar Snob, Rigger and Pyromancer. Beast is the Head of the Leather House Maison de Beast. He is an event owner/producer and also hosts Dynamic Leadership, a monthly livecast for those in or curious about relationships that involve the conscious and consensual exchange of power and authority as well as the Leather and kink communities in general.

echo (she/her) is a pansexual, poly Leatherwoman, a slave, switch, wife, mother, educator, coordinator, event owner/producer, and fucker of minds. She is a skilled presenter, the founder of the Colorado Kinky Book Club, and co-founder of Denver Ms. Kinky Scouts. echo is passionate about restorative practices, communication and conflict resolution skills.

They are kink & lifestyle presenters/educators who enjoy sharing their knowledge of various soft and hard skills, connecting with new people and communities, and seeking out learning opportunities wherever they may be. Beast and echo are proud to represent their local Leather community as the Colorado Master and slave Title Holders for 2019, 2020, and 2021. They have been together for over 7 years and are two parts of a triad with their partner Liv, with whom they raise 3 kids. By necessity, they have developed strong communication skills and a unique approach to structuring relationships, resolving conflict, and setting goals and expectations. They enjoy and are skilled at sharing these tools and techniques with others.
