Old Business
- Open Board Position: Continue to accept nominations for the open board positions
- Open Chair Positions: No interest shown. List of open positions is on the website.
New Business
- Munch/Event recap: Had 11-12 people attend. It was good and we made about $80 on raffle items and t-shirts. Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves and the location was pretty decent.
- Munch/Event: Trying to get a hold of “Leaf on the Wind” as he was working on setting up another social event. People at the first event suggested some other possible locations. Facilitator was not sure where Leaf on the Wind was with putting together another event.. Ombudsperson: NEDS (BDS?) operating out of Boston would rent several suites to host play parties and pay in advance. Wouldn’t need a ton of equipment. Dungeon & Geekdom used a hotel in East Hartford, the Holiday Inn on East River Drive; their last event was 2020.
- Membership Pathway/Membership (Pathway Cards, Membership Cards, Membership Interviews): Document started for Interview Questions. We have at least 1 person who is waiting to schedule an interview. Facilitator asked how many questions everyone thought we needed. Member at Large said that likely depends on the nature of the questions, the response to the questions asked, that the person interviewing might feel the need to ask more questions depending on someone’s answer. The Ombudsperson brought up offering a discount card for holding classes. Member at Large mentioned that we need to have classes and be able to offer multiple classes before we can even talk about offering discount cards to non-members. Co-Facilitator has the membership cards, laminator, and will look to see about pathway cards. Member at Large stressed that having these things at events are important. Members haven’t had membership cards since 2019 and that for people to become members they have to have pathway cards available at every event as well as a board member who will sign off on them.
- Upcoming Meeting Dates (May/June/July): May 21, June 11, July 9
- Annual Board Nominations: 3 positions and the Ombudsperson will come up for election. Nominations will be accepted until the May Meeting and voting will occur during the June meeting. Elected individuals will take office July 1, 2023.
